Proven to increase student engagement and boost performance, Achieve offers an e-book, course- and book-specific resources, a grade book, LearningCurve adaptive quizzing, assessment tools, insights and reporting, all with seamless integration options.
Macmillan has several market-leading software solutions which have served over 20 million students in the past decade. Four years ago we set out to take the best features of each solution and marry them into a platform that is intuitive and flexible.
Our Learning Science and Insights team helped guide the design and development process with the latest research and efficacy results from testing. We have always developed carefully vetted and respected content, but we proceeded to refine our structure to develop software and implemented best practices such as a Common Design Language, User Testing Laboratory, Robust User and a Quality Testing Environment.
Firstly, Achieve engages students both inside and outside of the classroom, with pre-built assignments, adaptive quizzing and a variety of activities. It's also designed for students of all levels, whether they are high achievers or perhaps need a little extra support. Basic Integration
Single Link to the Macmillan Course will be inserted by the instructor in their VLE/LMS. Students complete single-sign-on through the link to connect their Macmillan and VLE/LMS accounts. Once this occurs, students will have seamless access to their Macmillan Course through their campus LMS using only the VLE/LMS username and password.
Single Gradebook Column will be returned from the Macmillan site to the VLE/LMS course with a total score of Macmillan course assignments.
Manual Grade sync - Instructors hit the Grade Sync button within their Macmillan grade book to sync grades with VLE/LMS.
Available with: Achieve, FlipIt, iClicker, Sapling Learning, and SaplingPlus.
Deep Integration
Deep Asset Linking allows for links to individual Macmillan Content to be organized by the instructor into VLE/LMS Content folders. Students complete single-sign-on through the link to connect their Macmillan and VLE/LMS accounts. Once this occurs, students will have seamless access to the Macmillan Content through their campus VLE/LMS using only the VLE/LMS username and password.
Multiple grade book columns will automatically generate for each Macmillan assignment deployed to the VLE/LMS, allowing for assignments to be combined into grade book categories within the VLE/LMS for grade book calculations like dropping lowest scores or weighted percentages.
Automatic grade sync occurs with Deep integration.
